To improve the energy efficiency of our operations, Planta Viva Vivero, S.L. has implemented a photovoltaic system installation project, off-grid and with energy storage. Specifically, 120 solar panels with a power of 550W each were installed, for a total peak power of 66kW.
In addition, four batteries were installed to store the generated energy, with a total storage capacity of 20kWh. The main objective of this off-grid solar installation is to improve the nursery’s energy efficiency.
This objective has been successfully achieved, as the nursery now operates completely independently of any other source of electricity. This project was carried out with financial support from IVACE through the 2024 Renewable
Energy and Biofuels Program, within the ERDF Program of the Valencian Community, receiving a grant of €8,128.39.
